The combination lightning and surge arrester Type 1+2 (catalog number 5093654) is designed to protect electrical installations against lightning strikes and transient overvoltages in accordance with DIN EN 61643-11 and IEC 61643-1 (Class I+II).
It is intended for equipotential bonding in buildings, including those equipped with external lightning protection systems (Class III and IV). Suitable for TN and TT network systems, the device is mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail.
The arrester provides a lightning current discharge capacity of 12.5 kA (10/350 µs) per pole and 50 kA total, with a protection level below 1.3 kV. It features the new Multibase base with multi-connection terminals, visual status indication, and is supplied as a complete ready-to-connect unit (base + plug-in module).
The encapsulated, non-extinguishing zinc oxide varistor makes it ideal for installation inside distribution boards.
